Meet Molly Harper!

My journey to becoming a full-time Realtor was both unexpected and life-changing. I initially obtained my real estate license during the COVID-19 pandemic, planning to use it in the future when my husband and I would move to Lake Gaston full-time. While working as an IT sales account executive, I joined a small boutique real estate firm, balancing both roles for a while. However, in January 2021, my IT position was unexpectedly dissolved after more than 30 successful years working for large companies. Feeling stunned and defeated, I leaned on the support of my husband, who encouraged me to embrace real estate full-time—and that’s exactly what I did.

Today, I’m an independent contractor with Heaton Real Estate, specializing in helping clients buy or sell homes and land in Lake Gaston, Roanoke Rapids Lake, Kerr Lake, and the Cary area, where I lived for over 20 years. My extensive knowledge of these areas, combined with my sales experience, allows me to provide top-tier service to my clients.

Throughout my career in sales, I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible mentors who have shaped my success. I’ve learned the importance of communication, organization, and, most importantly, the art of listening. These skills have been crucial in my real estate career, where my focus is on making my clients happy and achieving win-win outcomes.

Living in Lake Gaston has been a blessing. I enjoy the serene beauty of the lake and spending time with family and friends, whether boating, golfing at Lake Gaston Golf Club, or visiting local gems like Rosemont Vineyard and Watersview Restaurant. I’m also a big supporter of the Lakeland Cultural Arts Center in Littleton, which brings arts and culture to our community.

Family is everything to me. Growing up, my parents instilled in me the value of hard work and perseverance. My husband, Wes Harper, has been my rock, providing love, strength, and inspiration. Together, we have a blended family of five children who bring joy and meaning to our lives.

In real estate, just like in family life, organization, communication, and flexibility are key. I’ve honed these skills to ensure that every client feels valued and supported throughout their buying or selling journey. The reward of helping clients achieve their dreams in real estate is immense, and I’m dedicated to making each experience as seamless and positive as possible.
